We initially started by purchasing slots on various main liner operator and feeder services to respond to the demand from NVOCC customers. Since then, we have evolved from a one-vessel operation into a globally-recognised business with a modern fleet, equipped with the latest technologies.

Job Purpose

Effectively implement pricing strategies/structures created by senior management in close coordination with relevant stakeholders.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

· Understand the types of containers, vessels, and movement of containers.

· Clear knowledge of the Liner/Container business.

· Effectively handle rate requests from different agents in the SeaLead network.

· Effectively consider various factors for special rate approvals (competitor rates, shipper’s current and past volume support, overall booking, and inventory position).

· Maintain updated MRGs in SAP and relevant systems/portals.

· Approve and update the SRR.

· Maintain a repository of market rates and keep a record of fluctuations.

· Close coordination with stakeholders (Sales, OPS, EQU)

· Read contracts and understand the terms and conditions (in conjunction with Documentation & Claims).

· Keep the GM-Trade and Global Director-Trade appraised of revenue movements.

· Maintain close coordination with Trade Management stakeholders.

· Contribute material for the GD-Trade’s monthly report.

· Ad hoc tasks and reporting related to Trade Management – as required.

Background and experience

· Graduate level education, good computer skills (SAP, MS Office – Excel), related pricing systems and Apps

· Minimum 2 years relevant experience within a Liner/NVOCC environment.

· Knowledge of pricing, revenue management

Knowledge of budgeting, revenue/volume reporting
